Just a few steps away from the picturesque sea promenade and close to the Qbajjar Bay in Marsalforn, this apartment hosts its guests in two bedrooms (with four single beds, two joined together). There is an additional sofabed in the living area for 2 extra persons.

The open sitting and dining area provides ample space for entertainment, and includes free WIFI and TV with android box.

The fully equipped kitchen provides a gas oven and cooker, toaster, sandwich toaster, electric kettel, fridge freezer, cutlery and crockery, and pots and pans – everything to be able to prepare a tasty meal. The apartment also has an automatic washing machine and ironing facilities.

Eating out in Marsalforn cannot be easier. The promenade offers dozens of options but here are our recommendations. Chez Armand is a restaurant run by a Belgian chef-patron. Specialising in French cuisine… and lobsters! If you are looking for some fresh fish, then head towards Arzella. Then again, for that romantic dinner, there is always Qbajjar Restaurant just a few metres from your accommodation and overlooking the lovely bay.

When staying at Marsalforn, make sure you do not miss on the following:

  • Visit the Salt Pans. This is how nature intended us to collect salt by combining sea water and the sun.
  • Try watersports. Here you can try jet skis, paragliding and scuba diving.
  • Take a dip in Qbajjar Bay. Away from the busy shore of Marsalforn, you can find a lonely spot just for yourself in this lovely bay.

You know how the saying goes, when in Gozo… eat like the Gozitans! And there is no better place to start than Mekren Bakery, a multi-generational, traditional bakery serving the famous Gozo “Pizza”. Just in the village square, the busy Rabokk Restaurant is a favourite with the locals for their good food and generous portions. We also like the more quiet Al Capone offering Italian cuisine.

The quaint village of Nadur is situated in the Eastern part of Gozo, just a few kilometres away from the Mgarr Ferry Terminal. It is an interesting traditional village, enjoying fabulous views over the land and the sea. When staying in Nadur, we recommend:

  • The baroque Parish Church is considered one of Gozo’s best pieces of baroque architecture.
  • Discover the small beaches – San Blas, Ramla and Daħlet Qorrot.
  • Locals (and hoards of young Maltese people) celebrate the annual spontaneous Carnival, taking place in mid-February. It gets really crazy!

Saveria – 300 year old Village Home, Naxxar


SAVERIA is a 300 year old house, built in a small, cosy alley, at the very heart of Naxxar – one of Malta’s oldest villages in central Malta.

The property still features the skill of masons from days gone by, with which, limestone walls, arched doorways, and wooden beams. Enjoy your holiday in a comfortable setting that respects the architecture of a typical village house, whilst being equipped with all the necessary amenities that will make your stay, a memorable one.

The house is laid out on 2 floors, with a main bedroom suite on the ground floor. This double-bed suite has an adjacent bathroom en-suite with a large shower. The suite has a small sofa and an 22-inch LED TV.

SAVERIA offers a fully equipped open kitchen and living area on the first floor. The kitchen includes all the cutlery, utensils, pots and pans required to prepare a healthy breakfast or a sumptuous dinner. It has a fridge, a freezer, a gas cooker, an oven, a microwave oven, a dishwasher and an electric kettle. For guests who prefer having an espresso in the morning, we also have an Italian coffee maker. Obviously coffee and tea (and some other basics) are on us!

The living area on the first floor has a 26-inch LED TV and a large sofabed for 2 persons.

On the first floor, there is also one double-bedrooms, with a 22-inch LED TV. A bathroom with shower facilities is available on this floor. Laundry facilities (washing machine, iron and iron-board) are also available in the property.

The house is complemented with a roof terrace, ideal for relaxing and dining.

From this old village at the heart of the island, it is very easy to reach most parts of the island. However, the local life offers some interesting options worth highlighting. The 18th Century Palazzo Pariso houses the upscale Luna Restuarant. Ta’ Stringi offers a cosy setting for casual dining with it’s local and Mediterranean cuisine, whilst Cellini Winebar & Bistro offers a more laid-back atmosphere and an intriguing selection of local and foreign wines. If you you are looking for a quick bite, then Jeff’s Pastizzeria in the village square has some delicios pastizzi and other pastries. We also love the take-away pizza from Pizza Planet.

Before boarding that hop-on, hop-off bus, make sure you do not miss the following places of interest just a few metres away from your accommodation:

  • Palazzo Parisio & Gardens. An 18th Century Palazzo that is open to the public
  • The Mosta Dome. Known mostly for it’s size and shape, this Church dome is also linked to a WW2 bombshell that fell right though during mass, but never went off!
  • The village folk celebrate the feast of Our Lady of Victory on the 8th of September (also a national holiday). Be ready for some awesome decorations and fireworks.

Marsaxlokk is famous for its numerous fish and Mediterranean restaurants, all lined up the picturesque promenade. The promenade is just 3min walk away from the apartment. Should you wish a casual place, with value for money, then the Marsaxlokk Waterpolo Club is ideal any day of the week. On the other hand, Tartarun Fish Restaurant offers mouthwatering fresh fish in an idyllic atmosphere. One of the most renowned restaurants specialising in local cuisine, is Ta’ Victor Restaurant and it is located in the village square. The Rising Sun is probably the oldest tea-shop in the village offering snacks and beverages during the day, and the day’s catch in the evening.

Marsaxlokk is renowned for being an authentic fishermen’s village and local life revolves mainly around this economic activity. When staying in Marsaxlokk we also recommend:

    • Take a swim at the picturesque St. Peter’s Pool beach, on Delimara point.
    • Visit the Sunday open air market. Early risers will enjoy fresh fish and vegetables.
    • The Ghar Dalam Caves are a window into the prehistoric era. This is where fossils of dwarf elephants, hippopotami, micro-mammals were discovered.

Marsaxlokk is famous for its numerous fish and Mediterranean restaurants, all lined up the picturesque promenade. The promenade is just 3min walk away from the apartment. Should you wish a casual place, with value for money, then the Marsaxlokk Waterpolo Club is ideal any day of the week. On the other hand, Tartarun Fish Restaurant offers mouthwatering fresh fish in an idyllic atmosphere. One of the most renowned restaurants specialising in local cuisine, is Ta’ Victor Restaurant and it is located in the village square. The Rising Sun is probably the oldest tea-shop in the village offering snacks and beverages during the day, and the day’s catch in the evening.

Marsaxlokk is renowned for being an authentic fishermen’s village and local life revolves mainly around this economic activity. When staying in Marsaxlokk we also recommend:

  • Take a swim at the picturesque St. Peter’s Pool beach, on Delimara point.
  • Visit the Sunday open air market. Early risers will enjoy fresh fish and vegetables.
  • The Ghar Dalam Caves are a window into the prehistoric era. This is where fossils of dwarf elephants, hippopotami, micro-mammals were discovered.
GENERAL

CHECK-IN & CHECK OUT

The standard check-in time is after 2pm and check-out by 10am. Early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability.

MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY

The maximum number of guests is limited to the number of persons booked. Children up to the age of 2 are free of charge.

PETS

Pets are not permitted in rental units under any conditions.

INCLUSIVE FEES

Rates include a linen and towel setup per week. Water and 20 units of electricity daily is included in the rental price which covers an average consumption. In case of electricity over-consumption guests can purchase additional electricity cards (€20 per card).

HOUSEKEEPING SERVICE

While linens and bath towels are included in the unit, daily maid service is NOT included in the rental rate. We do not permit bath towels or linens to be taken from the property, but we provide extra beach towels for your use.

WATER CLOSET

DO NOT FLUSH anything other than toilet paper. No feminine products should be flushed at anytime. If it is found that feminine products have been flushed and clog the drainage system, you could be charged damages of up to two hundred Euro (Eur200).

TV & WiFi

TV is provided and service level has been chosen by the Landlord. No refund of rents shall be given for outages, content, lack of content, or personal preferences with regard to TV service. High speed wireless internet is provided as a convenience only and is not integral to the booking. No refund of rents shall be given for outages, content, lack of content, speed, access problems, lack of knowledge of use, or personal preferences with regard to internet service.

AIR CONDITIONING (Heating & Cooling)

The Tenants agree that air conditioning shall not be set below 21 degrees Celsius and heat shall not be set above 26, and that the fan setting shall be “Auto”. Doors and windows shall be closed when either heat or air conditioning is in operation. Air Conditioning units shall NOT be left switched on whilst the room or the premises are unoccupied. If it is found that the air conditioning unit has not been switched off before leaving the room or premises, you could be charged up to twenty Euro (Eur20) a day.

FALSIFIED BOOKINGS

Any Tenants making a booking under false pretense will not be permitted to check in.

  • We stayed in this apartment in January with our 1 year old and had a great time. The flat is extremely spacious and has every appliance you could need, it was spotlessly clean when we arrived. The location is perfect, right on the edge of the village so completely silent even during the day, yet just a 5 minute stroll to the waterfront.
